My generation's for sale,
Beats a steady job.
How much have you got?
My generation don't trust no one,
Its hard to blame,
Not even ourselves.
The thing that's real for us is: fortune and fame,
All the rest seems like work.
Its just like Diamonds
In shit.
I'm high class I'm a whore,
Actually both,
Basically I'm a pro,
We've all got our own style
(of baggage),
Why hump it yourself,
You've made me an offer that I can refuse,
(course either way I get screwed)
Counter proposal:
I go home & Jerk off.
It's truly a lie. I'm counterfeit myself,
It's truly a lie. I'm counterfeit myself,
You don't own, you don't own, you don't own,
You don't own what none can buy,
You don't own, neither do I.
High and mighty you say selling out is a sham,
Is that the name of your book?
Push a silver spoon in your ass,
No more holding us down,
(dog. down mutt. Nice mutt)
You're insulted, You can't be bought or sold.
Translation: offer too low.
You don't know what you're worth,
(It isn't much.)
My piano is for sale.
How many times must I sell myself before my pieces are gone?
I'm one of a kind,
I'm designer.
Never again will I repeat myself,
Enough is never enough,
Never again will I repeat myself.
It used to be the plan was: screwing the man
Now its have sex with a man,
(After he buys you ".com" for sale at a low, low price)
It's truly a lie, I'm counterfeit myself,
It's truly a lie, I'm counterfeit myself,
You don't own, you don't own, you don't own me,
You don't own what none can buy,
You don't own
Neither do I

Top Yourself
How you gonna top yourself
When there is nobody else
How you gonna do it by yourself
Cause I'm not gonna be here to help you
How you gonna top yourself
When there is nobody else
How you gonna do it by yourself
Cause I'm not gonna he here to help you
How you gonna do it alone
When I don't pick up my phone
I'll give a dog a bone
But I'm not gonna stick around to help you
How you gonna stop yourself
When your man stops ringing your bell
Your right between Heaven and Hell
And your gonna need the good Lord to help you
How am I gonna make you see
That this ain't no way to be
See you've been gettin' it all for free
Guess you better get yourself a sugar daddy to help you
Top yourself
Such a little girl like a spinning top mamma
But you're spinning out of control
It takes sleeping like a snake like you
To rip apart my soul
How you gonna rock yourself to sleep
When I give up my midnight creep girl
How you gonna get that deep
When your daddy ain't around here to do it to you
Yeah, how you gonna do it alone
When I don't pick up my phone
I'll give a dog a bone
But I'm not gonna stick around to help you
When there is nobody else
How you gonna do it by yourself
Cause I'm not gonna be here to help you
How you gonna top yourself

All I Really Want to Do
I ain’t lookin’ to compete with you,
Beat or cheat or mistreat you,
Simplify you, classify you,
Deny, defy or crucify you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.
No, and I ain’t lookin’ to fight with you,
Frighten you or tighten you,
Drag you down or drain you down,
Chain you down or bring you down.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.
I ain’t lookin’ to block you up
Shock or knock or lock you up,
Analyze you, categorize you,
Finalize you or advertise you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.
I don’t want to straight-face you,
Race or chase you, track or trace you,
Or disgrace you or displace you,
Or define you or confine you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.
I don’t want to meet your kin,
Make you spin or do you in,
Or select you or dissect you,
Or inspect you or reject you.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.
I don’t want to fake you out,
Take or shake or forsake you out,
I ain’t lookin’ for you to feel like me,
See like me or be like me.
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.
Beat or cheat or mistreat you,
Simplify you, classify you,
Deny, defy or crucify you.
All I really want to do

Closet
Once carried through the current
And being swept away
The king is in the closet
He's hiding from today
And though he owns all fortunes
This room is where he'll stay
And his world is filled with darkness, turning grey
Gazing out the window
Of the 42nd second floor
He is separate from all others
No one knocks upon his door
And it might as well be raining 'cause the sunlight hurts his eyes
And his ears will never hear the children's cries
Once proud and full of passion
He fought the cause of man
Many people loved his courage
Many followed his command
He changed the old into the new
And the course of things to come
And then one day they noticed he was gone
At first it didn't matter
Nobody seemed to care
They all became too busy
To find him anywhere, so no one knew, not even him
The problems he would find
On the day he journeyed deep into his mind
I close my eyes I go far away
Away from this battlefield
In my dreams well here I will enjoy it
Where innocence plays with all the laughing children
The kind who are crying right now
A taste of freedom from the pain
Of everything here I see
Life is sweet but I took it all for granted
And now I don't know if I could even tell you
Just what we permit, we allow
Allow me to forget the life I've made my own
I've held this nation in my hand
And yet it's not my home
Allow me just one answer just one reason why
Why this refugee of the family of man must die
Tell me why
Daydreams filled his nighttimes
And night dreams filled his days
Confusion and uncertainty
A puzzled mind of haze
You thought he was so powerful
And set upon his ways
Well he left us all to follow through this maze
I heard the king was dying
I heard the king was dead
And with him died the chronicles
That no one ever read
The closet's fully empty now
It's occupied by none
I'll draw the drapes now destiny is done
And being swept away
The king is in the closet
He's hiding from today
And though he owns all fortunes
This room is where he'll stay
And his world is filled with darkness, turning grey
Gazing out the window
